The movie set 1099 fiasco
Nov 18, 2012OUTCOME: Got the whole matter fixed. Like many tax issues, this got resolved with the IRS and did not involve going to court.
This was one of my favorites. Client was a movie set builder who was given a 1099 for $750.00 that was misrecorded as $75,000 by the IRS. Four years later she finds out that her paycheck is being sei ... zed by the IRS.
