Client mistakenly put old tag on a newly purchased automobile that happened to be the same make and model of his ol ... d vehicle. Client had his new tag inside the vehicle but had put the registration sticker on his old tag and wasn't sure whether to put new on or leave old tag on with registration sticker on it. At arraignment, prosecutor wanted to drop the charge but not the fine so I recommended a plea of not guilty and bind it over to state court. Charges were dropped when it was clear prosecutors could not prove "intent" to conceal
