I didn't go to law school to be another stuffy attorney hiding behind legalese. I started Blauer Law because Louisville families and small business owners deserve an estate planning partner who speaks plainly, shows up personally, and stays with them through life's biggest transitions.

My path to estate planning started long before law school. Growing up seeing family members practice in different areas of the law, I saw different ways in which the law could (and sometimes couldn't) serve people's needs. I also saw the impact that proper planning and quality representation could have on the outcome of the situation.

Later, working with various small businesses and law firms, I watched organizations struggle with legal frameworks that were technically correct but didn't serve their real needs. I saw businesses with operating agreements that didn't match how decisions were actually made.

When I went to law school I knew I didn't want to follow the traditional legal path, join a big law firm, and get stuck in the billable hours grind. I pursued both my J.D. and M.B.A. because I understood that great legal planning requires understanding the business side and great business planning requires understanding the legal side.

Throughout my early career I honed my ability to translate technical legal concepts for a diverse audience. Those experiences helped me understand more deeply both how businesses function and how people function. More recently I spent several years running, and eventually owning, the family business. Those years helped me understand how to create a quality customer experience. I now specialize in estate planning: wills, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship planning, business succession, and estate plan reviews, because it's where the technical meets the deeply personal, where getting it right means families are protected and legacies are preserved.
