This is a case which was precedent setting in the State of North Carolina. Brian Berger was a New Hanover County Commissioner and he was removed from office through a process called amotion. It was the ... first time a publicly elected official in North Carolina had been removed from office using this process in several decades. On appeal to the New Hanover County Superior Court, Mr. Berger was awarded his seat back. Chris represented Mr. Berger and was pleased with the outcome.
