George Howard Spinks

I hired George Spinks to handle a situation concerning my father will and property attached. He sent me a bill for 5 thousand dollars. I paid it promptly and then he ghosted all my phone calls and stopped responding to emails. I have called about every other day with no response. All his numbers mai...lboxes were full. Now all his numbers no longer works. I wish I would have never hired him. All the other lawyers I've contacted about this refuse to handle it. I am going to contact the Mississippi Bar Association about this manner and his behavior. He had me send him all my orginal paperwork including orginal wills. He claimed that the judge wanted them. There is no evidence that he did anything on my case. He once said that the judge wanted me there for the court herring and like I stated earlier he ghosted me without giving me a date or time to be there (if there was really a court date).

I never leave negative reviews, but I hope that by doing this I am able to help other people who are vulnerable during their legal situations and may hire this law firm. What I have learned is, George Spinks will tell you what you want to hear to gain you as a client, but then after he gets paid he ...will no longer care about your case. I consulted other attorneys, but they did not tell me what I wanted to hear. George said he felt like I “had a case”. I went with George because he seemed confident he could help me to prove to the court my boys were not in a good living situation with their mother who lives 10 hours away from me. After paying the 2500 retainer fee I have heard from the attorney & his office maybe 3 times. George showed up to court on January 23 and did nothing he said he would do. I have reached out to him more than a dozen times through email & phone and he will not answer me at all. In February he responded to one of my many emails and all he could do was give excuses. My ex-wife has let me know several times that her attorney has been trying to reach my attorney for weeks. I decided to search George Spinks & do a little research on the law firm that has been ghosting me for 2 months. I learned that I am not the only case that George has neglected and I’m not the only person that he’s taken money from and then neglected to help. I am supposed to be in court in 2 days and I am extremely anxious because I have no idea what to expect and I cannot afford another attorney. Please, do yourself a favor. Research for yourself (more than this website) and you formulate your own conclusion on whether you should risk investing in this attorney.

George Spinks and his paralegal Caytlin made the entire process of modifying my original divorce papers a breeze. I called their office to make an appointment and they got me in the very next day. They were both so helpful and guided me on things I may want to include in the modification (something m...y original attorney did not do). They were very quick to get the paperwork drawn up and they exceeded my expectations! Highly, highly recommended

Would be nice if you handled your ongoing cases! My daughter & son in law paid you nearly 2 years ago for a simple child support modification. It's been nearly 2 yrs of nothing but delays, excuses, countless unreturned calls & emails. They're now married with 3 additional children. How about you do y...our job? Disgraceful. The most unprofessional practice I've ever experienced in my adult life. If you're needing legal help don't waste your time or money. The State Bar of Mississippi will be hearing from us soon.
