Joseph R Murray II

Joe Murray is a trial attorney, civil rights litigator and public policy expert working out of Ripley, Mississippi. Mr. Murray is also the founder of the Murray Law Firm, PLLC.

For well over a decade, Mr. Murray has been practicing law and advocating for public policy changes in both courts of law and public opinion. He has dedicated his career to protecting civil rights, fighting for the wrongfully terminated and preserving liberty for all Americans.

Mr. Murray has argued in numerous state and federal courtrooms across the nation. From the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to Montana’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, he has a record of passionately advocating for his clients' interests.

A former attorney for the American Family Association and Waide & Associates, Mr. Murray gained extensive experience inside the courtroom that he uses to the benefit of his clients. Mr. Murray has also worked with the Philadelphia based Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) and the Scottsdale based Alliance Defense Fund (ADF).

His primary areas of practice are civil rights, employment discrimination, criminal defense and bankruptcy. Mr. Murray firmly believes that no case is either too big or too small; he believes that every client deserves justice. 

Mr. Murray has successfully protected his clients from government intrusions, unlawful discrimination and criminal prosecution. He has also helped draft model legislation for various state legislatures. 

He is considered an expert on civil rights and has conducted hundreds of press interviews, including an interview on the highly rated O'Reilly Factor. He also serves as a legal commentator for the San Francisco radio station KFAX. Outside of the courtroom, Mr. Murray is a respected journalist who covered the 2008 Presidential election. He interviewed a vast majority of the presidential candidates and traveled the country during the historic campaign. He also served as Pat Buchanan’s National Director of Correspondence during the 1999 Republican primary. He has authored and published scores of op-ed’s on various issues of public policy.

Mr. Murray received his juris doctor from Hofstra University in New York and is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and New Jersey.
