Ralph Jackson Atkins

I am a 1984 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville.  After law school I had a general practice of law in Crossville for approximately 7 years.  Then, I went into the land development and home construction business.  I was a licensed general contractor and owned my own construction company, Premier Homes of Crossville, Inc.  Built over 200 residential projects and developed three subdivisions in Hendersonville and Crossville.  Was recognized by the National Association of Home Builders as a Certified Graduate Builder and a Graduate Master Builder.  In 2002, I was honored to be the President of the Home Builders Association of Cumberland County.

In 2008, I returned to the practice of law focusing on construction related issues.  I represent home owners, builders, sub-contractors, material suppliers and others connected to the construction industry.  I handle litigation of construction contract and defect cases.  In 2007, I was certified by Construction Dispute Resolution Services, LLC of New Mexico in mediation and arbitration of construction disputes.

My clients are spread out over a wide geographic area of Middle and East Tennessee.  Most of my meetings require me to inspect construction and or volumes of documents in my client's possession.  For this reason, I generally go to wherever my clients are located to meet and discuss their legal needs.
