Assisted a client, specialized in the horological business, in the defense of a cancellation proceeding initiated by the government agency of a European country intent on denying client its trademark r ... egistration. I developed a novel argument to undermine the cancellation proceeding by attacking the agency's own certification marks before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). We appealed the case from the TTAB to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
