My client was married to a United States Citizen (USC) for a very short time. The USC spouse subjected my client to extreme emotional and psychological abuse. There was scarce evidence due to the very ... short duration of their marriage. We composed an extremely detailed statement of the nature and regularity of the abuse, and submitted Form I-360, to categorize my client as the abused spouse of a United States Citizen, from which my client could then apply for a green card. Notwithstanding the difficulties, we managed to prove the level of abuse to qualify and the case was approved.
