Client's children were wrongfully removed and placed in foster care. DYFS then attempted to terminate my client's parental rights and put her children up for adoption. Although the case had been ongo ... ing for years, I was hired two months before the termination of parental rights trial. The trial judge terminated her parental rights, however, the termination was reversed on appeal because I was able to show that DYFS failed to make reasonable attempts to reunify my client with her children.
OUTCOME: Armed-Robbery Charges Dismissed
Police pulled over a car my client was in after a 911 call involving an armed robbery. The victim identified 2 of the 5 people in the car as the assailants (but not my client). Police testified at th ... e grand jury that they pulled the car over within 15 minutes of the robbery. No gun was found or any of the items that were taken from the victim. However, my client was indicted along with the other 4 occupants. I requested information from police in pre-trial discovery. One of the documents I requested was a computer assisted dispatch (CAD) report, which tracks all police officer movements from headquarters. The CAD report clearly showed that the car was pulled over ONE HOUR after the robbery, not 15 minutes after. I was able to get the charges dismissed as to my client as a result of the CAD report.
