Mr. Cohen earned his Juris Doctor degree (Cum Laude) from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. In law school, he was the recipient of a Book Award in Torts, was selected to the Florida Journal of International Law, and was awarded Pro Bono and Community Service Certificates. In addition, he participated as a Certified Legal Intern at the Family Law Clinic and worked as a Summer Legal Intern at the Houston Immigration Court. Mr. Cohen earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Florida. During his undergraduate education, Mr. Cohen was accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key Honor Societies. Moreover, he was selected as a University Scholar and received Highest Honors Distinction for his undergraduate thesis. Mr. Cohen has studied abroad in Spain and Mexico, worked as an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) educator, and tutored foreign students in English.
Mr. Cohen is a board member of the Federal Bar Association Memphis Mid-South Chapter and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Immigration Law Section of the Federal Bar Association, and the Florida Bar.
