Best Experience

I hired Taylor to assist me in revising a post-divorce Parenting Plan. The original plan, drafted by a previous attorney, contained numerous loopholes and vague language that left my family vulnerable. From the start, Taylor demonstrated exceptional written communication skills and crafted precise, c...ompelling motions. Her ability to present clear, specific evidence to the court highlighted the risks to me and my children in a way that was both powerful and persuasive. When I first approached Taylor, I felt defeated and uncertain. By the time my case concluded—successfully in my favor—Taylor had transformed that feeling into confidence and empowerment. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering advocacy made all the difference. I wholeheartedly recommend Taylor to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, dedicated attorney who will fight for your best interests.

Gold Standard for Family Law

I hired Taylor Oyaas in the summer of 2022 for ongoing post-divorce custody proceedings. I filed for divorce in 2011 and I've had a lawyer pass away, verbally abuse me, retire, and take a sabbatical. After my previous lawyer announced her sabbatical, I asked her point-blank, "Who are the best female ...family law lawyers in Memphis?" Without hesitation, she referred me to Leigh Taylor White and Taylor Oyaas. From my first consultation to our last phone call and every step in-between, they have demonstrated professionalism, empathy, expertise, determination, and a killer instinct. They have guided me through a challenging situation and every recommendation they have made has been spot-on. Taylor has spent extensive amounts of time researching precedent and not only making legal recommendations, but explaining why she made them and how they could potentially impact my case and my children. For the first time in 13 years, I am confident in my attorneys and believe these custody proceedings will finally be resolved. They have restored my faith in humanity and the legal profession and inspired me to leverage my experiences to try and help others in my position. My daughter is a junior in college and Leigh Taylor and Taylor have inspired her to pursue a career in family law because they have had such a powerful impact on her life. Hire this woman. Like another Taylor I'm a fan of, she is fearless.

Professional, creative and very detailed!

I hired Taylor to represent me in my divorce settlement and later change of custody arrangement. My divorce settlement lasted several months and was very litigious. Within a few months of settling, I needed to file a modification of custody and had several more months of litigation. My case involved ...DCS allegations, abuse, many unfounded claims and an unreasonable co-parent. Through it all, Taylor remained professional, diligent, creative and intentional, making strong and calculated moves to help me win my case and avoid additional attorneys fees. I identify as queer and Taylor was very supportive and knowledgeable of my parental rights when faced with homophobia from the opposing party/counsel. I highly recommend that you hire Taylor Oyaas to represent you in your divorce or custody case!

Great Experience

Taylor represented me in a lawsuit filed against me by my former brother-in-law. I had never been sued before - I had never even hired a lawyer before - and I was being sued for more than $500k! To make matters more complicated, my former brother-in-law was representing himself. During our first cons...ultation Taylor put me at ease by listening, taking notes, and asking a lot of questions. She reviewed her retainer and hourly fees upfront to avoid surprises. She explained what the process would look like from start to finish which helped me stop panicking and focus on the process. Throughout the process I never had to contact Taylor asking what was going on with the case. More often than not she emailed me with updates, answering questions I did not yet know I had. When I did contact her I would receive a reply promptly. Her response to the lawsuit was incredibly well researched and written. Because he was representing himself she went the extra step to argue both sides of the case, but ultimately explaining why the law did not support his claim. In the end she won my case and (per her request) was awarded my legal fees to be paid by my former brother in law. I am very pleased with Taylor's services and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great lawyer in Memphis.
