About 3 months, I was pulled over and went to jail for the first time in my life. I was unaware that I had a warrant out for my arrest after a traffic stop. It was one of the worst feelings of my life, just sitting down in a place knowing that you never did anything wrong and was falsely accused of s...omething that you didn’t do. When I got out of jail the next morning, I had to go to court.The judge told me that I had a harassment case and that I needed an attorney. I was so confused because I knew that I have never been in trouble or that I’ve never harassed anybody ever in my life. After reading my affidavit, I knew that i was falsely accused and that it didn’t make sense to be an harassment case. Later that day,I spoke with a different lawyer before talking with Mr.Bartlett, and the other lawyer told me to just plead guilty and do a year on probation. I told that lawyer that I was not pleading guilty to something that I didn’t do, and he kept telling me that that was my only option. He barely let me say anything and he didn’t care about what i was trying to ask him or nothing. This man just wanted some easy money and for me to plead guilty so he wouldn’t have to do anything.Soon after I left his office, a friend of mines referred me to Mr. Bartlett. After speaking with Mr. Bartlett and after he looked over my affidavit, he said that he couldn’t believe that I even went to jail for this and he assured me that he would have my case dismissed in 2 hearings. The next day, when I went to meet Mr. Bartlett in person, I just knew he was the guy because I didn’t feel the same feeling I felt when I met with the other lawyer. Mr. Bartlett had a welcoming spirit, he listened to me with an open ear and he assured me that he had everything under control and I felt that. Throughout my entire process Mr. Bartlett was always a call away whenever I had a question about something. He always responded back to me whenever I needed information. He’s not like other lawyers that just take your money, or act as if their too busy to respond when you have a question, and who really don’t care about your case. I really didn’t feel like Mr. Bartlett was just my attorney, because he assured me that everything would be fine and he was with me every step of the way as if he was a close friend showing me that he really cared about my case. He was a man of his word and he got my case dismissed in exactly 2 hearings just as he said. Attorney Bartlett is respectful, dependable, trustworthy, and honest. I am so grateful that he represented me and that he was there for me and communicated with me 100% throughout the entire process.
