Tameko Michelle Purnell

Tameko M. Purnell is an Associate at Pickford Law Firm. Her practice focuses on personal injuries as a result of car accidents, slip and falls, and on the job injuries. She handles matters in Estate Planning, Social Security Disability, and Veterans Claims.

An honor student and Dean Ambassador at The Mississippi College School of Law, Tameko has clerked for The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, The Mississippi American Civil Liberties Union, and the City of Memphis where she was instrumental in challenging the confederate soldier statues within public parks in Memphis, Tennessee. Tameko has also studied international business and contract law in China, South Korea, and Lille, France.

Prior to joining the firm, Tameko acted as Associate Attorney at a prominent law firm here in Memphis, Tennessee, where she played a pertinent part in obtaining millions of dollars for injured clients.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Attorney Purnell has worked as a litigation paralegal for several prominent firms in Memphis, drafting complex litigation motions and preparing for commercial trials.

Tameko is licensed to practice in the State of Mississippi and Tennessee; and is a member of the Mississippi Association for Justice (where she currently serves as Chair-Elect for the Women's Caucus), The Mississippi Bar, and The National Bar.

In her downtime, Tameko likes rooting for her nephew, Brandon Smith as a wide receiver for the Iowa Hawkeyes, gardening, and sitting near the ocean. A former basketball star, track runner, high jumper, and cheerleader; Tameko is a lover of sports. Tameko is a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Her favorite quote:
