Jeff Douglas Ward

Hired him to file a chapter 13. Never spoke with him, only his Mother. 1/2 way through, my son totaled a car on the plan and it became a nightmare. They had no idea how to handle. Motions that were needed weren’t filed and motions that were filed were wrong and were dismissed by the courts. I ended u...p calling the bankruptcy court and getting everything figured out on my own. Now we are completed but it can’t be discharged because they never sent the post education certificate to the clerk. I called the clerks office and have forwarded the 2 month old certificate myself. This is a joke of an attorney. Don’t waste your money!!

I hired Jeff because my ex husband alienated me as a parent. Instead of Jeff fighting for me and my children (reconciliation) focusing on the things my ex did not adhere to in the agreed, 3 year old parenting plan; he found it much more important to belittle my lack of knowledge of the law. He consta...ntly insulted my intelligence by asking me why I would ever agree to terms of the original parenting plan, like I was supposed to predict the future or be knowledgeable about parenting plans? After seeking a second opinion, a woman attorney, who I now have retained, advised me that parenting plans are changed frequently, especially when a parent is being alienated, and my ex is in total violation of the parenting plan by refusing counseling, which is clearly stated in the parenting plan. Mr. Ward told me multiple times that I just "gave up" on my children!! Mr. Ward did not want to fight for me or care about what was in the best interest of my children. The one court date he did represent me, he had to admit to a judge and accepted full responsibility for his "lack of poor communication with his client"! YES! Because I kept every correspondence in writing, a judge stated, "Mr. Ward, it looks like you are in a predicament!" Mr. Ward is quick to insult my intelligence of the law and lack of fighting for my children, but at the end of his termination of his services for me; he was apologizing to a judge, as my new attorney was holding my email correspondence that proved he was not fulfilling his moral responsibility to me, as his client. Mr. Ward is quick to belittle, insult, bark at you, and made me feel like I was employed by him. The saddest of all of this, it wasted my time, money, and energy that could have been placed utilizing an attorney who could have made more progress for my children and I. I plead with everyone to never use his legal services. He is obnoxious, rude, belittling, unprofessional, and at times, I felt like he was representing my ex husband! Especially if you are a woman, you will not like or want his services.

I just finished one of the toughest periods of my life and Jeff Ward got me through the process and got me 90% of what I wanted even though he said it would be a battle. He was right, but he fought for me for months and we won. Jeff Ward is very direct and doesn't mince words. He cared about me and m...y family. I would hire him a hundred times again.

Hired Mr. Ward in help with a divorce case. Very belittling to me as a client; used derogatory words, acted as if I was supposed to have knowledge of the law, etc. Took forever to get anything accomplished, and he/his staff had to be reminded of simple things multiple times. I never felt that... he was truly "in my corner", or fighting for me. I felt as if I was just another check in my mailbox. Save yourself time and money by hiring another attorney.

Trying to get representation for a case and find out information. I submitted information to Jeff Ward and did not hear back by time specified. He wanted to look at information before I paid a retainer. I called his office to find out what progress was made, and his mother answered the phone. She tri...ed to rush me off the phone because she was not familiar with my case and according to her he was too busy to look at anything sent over the computer. I asked her not to hang up on me so I could explain the conversation I had with Jeff. She was huffy but took information. After a few days I called Jeff . He said I was rude to his mother and needed to seek other representation. He lost a good client willing to pay for services because his mother didn't want to be bothered with anything while he was away to court.
