Dillon Zinser is a proud Knoxville native and Tennessee trial attorney. His practice focuses exclusively on criminal defense. Mr. Zinser has defended the accused during trial on cases ranging from traffic citations, to DUIs, to First Degree Murder. He has been the lead attorney on over 23 jury trials, and has had over 30 bench trials. Dillon thrives in the courtroom advocating for his clients. He understands that being accused of a crime is a terrifying experience, and how important it is to have a zealous, caring, and dependable attorney fighting by your side.
Dillon earned his Associate’s Degree from Pellissippi State Community College, before transferring to the University of Tennessee to complete his Bachelor’s Degree. He spent three years working as a Supplemental Instructor and Tutor in Biology and Anatomy before commencing his legal education at the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2016. In 2017, Dillon began working for the Law Office of Joshua S. Reed as a law clerk after completing his first year of law school. Upon his successful completion of the Bar Exam and being licensed to practice, he joined the Law Office of Joshua S. Reed as an Associate Attorney in 2019. Dillon’s science background taught him the importance of analyzing the unique facts of each situation, thinking unconventionally, and developing a personalized strategy based on the details of a client's case.
Dillon prides himself as a defense attorney who is willing to stand up for his clients. While some attorneys pressure their clients into taking pleas to quickly resolve a case, Mr. Zinser listens to his clients’ needs, and develops a personal strategy. He understands that the final decision as to how a case is resolved always rests with the client. When someone is charged with a crime, their liberty and future may be in jeopardy. In those times where a defense matters most, Dillon is ready to fight.
Dillon strives to give back to his East Tennessee community, through both his legal work and volunteering with local organizations. He is an active member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (TACDL), and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Zinser currently serves as the co-chair of the Hunger & Poverty Relief Committee for the Knoxville Bar Association’s Barristers Division. He is also a Volunteer Leader in 4-H. During his free time, Dillon enjoys playing disc golf, riding his bike, cooking, collecting vinyl records, and attending concerts around town.
