Sherry is amazing

Sherry, was an amazing attorney. She represented me on a custody case. She was communicative, responded to my emails (even on weekends) and worked hard to get the best outcome. She fought hard for my child's well being and was undeterred by the bullying of the opposition. I would highly recommend her... and am flabbergasted by any negative comments. If you are a parent, who has your child's best interest at heart, sherry is the attorney for you. She spends all of her time defending children. Her job is her heart and you'd be lucky to have her represent her or your child.

umbelievable

I am sorry your daughter died from taking methadone and xanax and a bottle of wine and a joint. So you to be harsh on my daughter makes me think you are incompetent on working on her case. You are pushing a drug on my daughter when she is already in a recovery which works very well for her. Now, I ...saw you in court and saw you handle my daughter's case. What I saw was a mother struggling to cope with her own demons at the loss of your daughter, and I understand that. I am truly sorry for your daughter's death. But when you want to mother my daughter, and tell her the best drug out there is what you give to prisoners in prison, my daughter has done nothing wrong, She is on a regimen. You want to take it away and I have the facts on vivitrol. It's not safe for her. You did not give me a chance to tell the court. I mentioned the TBI and you said it was not a criminal case and that they were therefore not involved. When you put my daughter on a drug, and I did the research on, and she could die from, I have a problem. You are an attorney for DCS; you are against the people fighting them. I am her mother. You didn't even ask a question out of me. You didn't even ask for my visitation rights. Ms. Sherry, I don't know what you are trying to prove, but all you proved to me is failure. I am disgusted with you and the world will know about you through me.

Norma

My husband and I had custody of our grandson from birth until the time we hired Sherry in Sept. 2016.He was 7yr old. His mother had been in and out of his life[ more out] with the father out. Our daughter got home from being incarcerated in Jan. 2015 and filed for custody and won in Aug.2016. We appe...aled and expected Sherry to keep us informed. We had to place calls to her, she rarely returned those calls and when we went to court to set the hearing she showed up 20 min, late and the judge would not hear us. Had to reschedule. Went in next week and Sherry had not even pulled the file on our case. Our daughter had to correct her in front of the judge, how embarrassing. We decided to drop the case and put our family back together and Sherry tried to make us feel that was the wrong decision. When I pointed out she had only had to do very little for us and we had paid a lot of money, she became irate told me I was a demanding person. When you retain an attorney they in fact do work for you and owe you the respect of returning your calls and supporting your decisions. I would not recommend Sherry Mehar to anyone. She also leaves her office door open and no one is there. I went into the office twice and could have gone through all of her files. What happened to confidentially, the same as with your medical records. I spoke with her assistant about the door being unlocked and he said Sherry was aware. .

Fabulous Experience

We engaged Sherry Mahar for a petition to adopt. She was unsure of our success, and she told us this. Our petition was being contested (unfairly) by DCS. We opted to press on. Sherry invested her heart and efforts into our plight. When she believes in you, nothing will stop her from fighting fo...r you. We are thrilled at her care for us for for our cause. We are confident she has won our case. Her strengths include the fact that she has such strong relationships with the players in the system. She gets things done. I would highly recommend using Sherry. I cannot imagine why you would not. She is affordable, she is fair with her time, and, again, she cares. Please know that attorneys in her field deal with a lot of losers. So, just understand that you need actually have a case before you start fishing for an attorney. I don't know this for a fact, but, if you don't have a case or are a deadbeat parent - I imagine that your experience could vary (and, i'm sure that advise is not unique to any single attorney). I recommend Sherry Mahar.
