Failed to file

Judith was hired to represent to represent me as part of a custody case. During the first week of representation, she failed to file an answer that was requested. Approximately two months after the first filing, motions were heard in court. I had requested several times for answers and motions to ...be filed in response to opposing attorney. Nothing was filed and judge became agitated. A hearing was then scheduled about 5 weeks after the motions were heard. No answers or required motions that were requested by the judge were filed. Two days before the hearing, still nothing was filed and nothing was being done on the case. I had to hire a new attorney two days before the hearing in order to get the motions and answers filed before the hearing. Now the hearing is postponed because paperwork was filed late (by new attorney which filed the paperwork in two days).

Failed to follow through on all but the bill

I used her as representation in a divorce. She failed to catch a number of mistakes that have since cost me. In that case I paid her half up front. I called several times asking for the review which she never provided. She then had her staff call me to demand payment. I ended up paying and receiv...ed no review. Her knowledge level is cursory at best. Part of what an attorney is paid for is to find the small things that will cost later. She made several omissions that could have made life much easier in the aftermath. You would be just as well off representing yourself and saving your money.

I absolutely agree with the poor performance review 100% She represented me in my divorce and also a most recent serious matter. She is very difficult unresponsive, absolutely incompetent!!!! Does not put her clients first and does not defend their case AT ALL. She is AWFUL I do not recommend her fo...r anything. She has no knowledge at all...Will cause you to loose everything!! She failed to do anything for me and she failed to do her job. Watch out for her she is awful do not hire ever for anything she does not care about your case your just a number and money stay away from this lawyer.

poor performance

I hired this woman to represent me in a divorce. From the beginning she was difficult to communicate with. At times I thought we were speaking different languages. When I could get in touch with her, which was rarely, she would not answer my questions, rather she would make remarks that made no se...nse. I seriously wondered if she were in some way impaired. She failed to do almost oooeverything I asked her to. In court it was as if she didn't remember anything we had ever talked about. I had to prompt her several times regarding things the opposing attorney was alleging. At the end of the divorce hearing she claimed not to have heard one very important thing the judge ordered. I had to wait for the written transcript and show her what he said. This was something that he ordered a follow up on regarding a great deal of money that my husband lied about removing after an injunction was served. It's now been 3 years since I first hired her. She has yet to do this follow up. I was awarded money in court that to this day I haven't seen because she's failed to write the qualified domestic relations orders that are required in order for me to get the money. Now I have evidence that he's pretty much drained the accounts. I have no recourse at this point as I have no money to hire another atty. I'm now almost 70 and penniless. I live hand to mouth and in my opinion it's due to her incompetence. If I were asked about hiring her my advice would be ABSOLUTELY NOT, as loud as I can scream it.
