I have been practicing Social Security disability law exclusively, for over 10 years. I began practicing in 1988 in civil litigation, but found my true calling in 2012 when I filed my own son's disability case. I thought it would be an easy process, given his disability, and it was not! I had to fight SSA for many months, and eventually, we were successful. I did not file his claim believing that this area of practice would be my future, however, I began to imagine that if it was this difficult for an experienced attorney to fight the SSA, how difficult it must be for people who have no legal experience or understanding of this very intricate program. With that thought, I began to channel all my efforts into only taking disability cases, and in 2015, I began practicing only Social Security law. That decision has been a true blessing, both professionally and personally, as I have experienced such joy in helping others receive their disability.
