James Cardle is a very sharp, conscientious, and thorough patent attorney

We had both financial and technical hurdles to overcome as we developed the core technologies behind our ViewSender project (www.ViewSender.com). Of necessity, the intellectual property was developed in evolutionary fashion, and Mr. Cardle proactively stayed abreast of the changes as they occurred. H...e worked with us not only in the back and forth discussions necessary to reduce concepts to patent language, but also worked within the communication means and tools that were most efficient for us. Much of the work was extremely technical and specific to a small subset of the information technology field. Mr. Cardle was able to bring himself up to speed quickly where necessary in those few subject areas where he was not initilally familar. He also suggested and helped us engage with personal introductions very knowledgeable and relevant external resources and contacts to which we would not otherwise have had access. Though we've had previous experience with both patent attorneys and patent agents who were well-regarded (and who did a good job for us), we had not enjoyed the level of involvement, concern and interest in our project that Mr. Cardle brought to the task. It was extremely helpful to us that Mr. Cardle has previous training and experience as an engineer and that he has earned a great deal of respect among his peers. If you get the opportunity to speak to Mr. Cardle personally, you'll find he has a very understanding, patient, and engaging nature that is quite different from the sometimes aloof and dry personaliites of other expeerts we've consulted. I would especially encourage anyone who has not been through the process of formalizing intellectual property to contact Mr. cardle first. For us, we were immediately able to estabklish a level of trust and confidence with Mr. Cardle that helped us a great deal in moving forward.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
