OUTCOME: Defense verdcit

This was an elder abuse, nursing negligence case tried to jury verdict. Plaintiff's (the spouse and children of decedent) alleged that my client while rendering nursing care caused the decedent to suf ... fer extreme pain due to the unauthorized cutting of tissue within and adjacent to decubitus ulcers which exceeded the scope and practice for a registered nurse in California. It was further claimed that two of the plaintiff's witnessed the offensive conduct, demanded that it be stopped and the defendant refused. Plaintiff's asserted that as a consequence of the defendant's conduct the decedent 's condition rapidly deteriorated ultimately resulting in his death.
