OUTCOME: Inventor is Marketing Under Patent Pending Status
I had the pleasure of working with Inventor Rob West on his Noveltee Card project. Rob is currently producing and marketing a combined business card and golf tee under the basic legal protection of a ... provisional patent application that I prepared. You can check out his Noveltee Card product and order your own at http://www.novelteecard.com. Rob's project is a great example of establishing patent pending status at low cost via a provisional application for patent, and then using that to support marketing of the invention. Toward the end of the one-year provisional application priority period, Rob can evaluate his sales and decide whether to continue with the full cost of the patent process or whether to abandon. I connected with Rob in my role at The Gray Law Group. The disclosure of this case is pursuant to the client's explicit consent.
