Robert Lewis Belvin

Since 2009, Attorney Lew Belvin has represented individuals needing legal help. He joined The McMahan Law Firm in 2011 and is proud to serve clients as part of Chattanooga’s largest personal injury law firm, representing people in motor vehicle cases, wrongful death cases, and premises liability cases across Tennessee and Georgia. Known for his diligence, clarity, and thoughtful communication, Lew combines top-tier legal research with a practical, client-first approach in every case he takes.

Lew grew up outside Austin, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. He went on to attend Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he served as Research Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and worked as a teaching assistant in the legal research and writing program.

He graduated in the top 9% of his class in 2009 with a Juris Doctor and immediately began building a civil litigation career focused on helping people navigate complex legal obstacles.
