Christopher James Gentry

Since 2005, Chris has practiced civil litigation with a focus on motor vehicle accidents, workers’ compensation, premises liability, and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) claims. His sharp legal analysis, courtroom confidence, and genuine care for his clients have helped secure life-changing outcomes across Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama.

Chris joined The McMahan Law Firm in 2006 and now handles the majority of the firm’s SSDI caseload, representing clients in hundreds of hearings each year and helping disabled individuals recover millions of dollars in benefits annually.

Raised just outside Chattanooga in Soddy Daisy, TN, Chris is a graduate of The McCallie School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Tennessee before completing his Juris Doctor at Michigan State University College of Law in 2005.

Chris returned home to Tennessee after law school and has been fighting for justice in his community ever since.
