Benjamin Logan McGowan

Mr. McGowan represented me in a dui case. The outcome was favorable for me as a result of Mr. McGowan' superior intellect, his outstanding rapport with everyone involved with the legal process and his never ending "can do" attitude. The resolution of my case was quicker than I expected (only on...e court appearance) and it resulted in fewer penalties than I thought would occur. It is my belief that I could have suffered a far worse fate than I did, solely because I hired Mr. McGowan. In my opinion, you will not find better legal counsel than Benjamin Mcgowan.

I was arrested for a DUI 1 month before my 21st birthday. Ben McGowan was wonderful to work with. He was very good at explaining what was going to happen and was able to get my DUI charges dropped and I plead guilty to impaired driving 16-20 with diversion after 1 year. This was an amazing outcome. 3... months after my arrest, I got a ticket for drug paraphernalia and Ben also gave me advice on how to handle it. He always emailed, text or called me back. Ben McGowan is extremely smart and a very fast thinker. I hired him for a civil case against the Department of Safety for the state of Tennessee on an illegal seizure of a vehicle and also hired him to defend a family member that was facing serious drug charges. Mr. McGowan schooled the attorney ...from the Department of Safety in court. He was clearly on a much higher level than the state attorney and he could not be out smarted. I was very impressed at how fast he would think and respond with excellent facts that were backed up by the law. We got the vehicle back with no fine. He was also able to get a family member out of serious drug charges by getting it moved to drug court where this person could actually get help and clean up her life. I do not think many attorneys could have accomplished this. He prevented years of prison time and got her help instead. I highly recommend Mr. McGowan!

Mr. McGowan was the consummate professional with immense knowledge of the ins and outs of my DUI situation. He settled my case and had this expunged from my record. A DUI is such a stupid and demoralizing thing and there is no coddling; nor should there be. He is straight forward and sets proper e...xpectations at each turn. I can't imagine anyone better to represent me. Very pleased, indeed.

I had a domestic violence issue which Ben was very helpful in dealing with. After looking at the details of the arrest he advised me that while I could hire him he thought my case was one I should be able to navigate myself. He laid out what could and might happen and after appraising my own cognitio...n opined that I should be ok dealing with the DA myself. Taking his advice my case was passed and the threat of conviction - no matter how slim - removed from my shoulders. He took plenty of time to go into details, ask many of my bemused questions and helped my feel more positive. Which in such a situation was like mana. He then followed up after the case went to court, answered more of my questions on the phone and was generally the embodiment of what one could hope for in legal advice. All of this done without charging me a penny.
