Corey Austin Spearman

Corey Spearman is the owner and lead attorney at Nación del Inmigrante in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The firm's name means "Nation of the Immigrant," and it reflects the conviction at the center of his practice: that America was built by people who risked everything in pursuit of a better life.
A Chattanooga native, Corey earned his B.A. in History from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2012 and his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2016, working as a paralegal by night while studying by day. He began his career litigating civil rights cases, including fights to place third-party candidates on the ballot despite election laws written to keep them off. In 2022, he returned home to Tennessee to keep doing what he has always done: standing up for people the system counts out.
"I believe immigration is America's greatest strength," Corey says. "The families who come here have risked everything for a safer, better life. That kind of courage deserves an advocate. Defending them is simply the right thing to do."
Corey represents clients in removal defense, detained bond hearings, family-based petitions, SIJS, U visas, and work authorization, and he helps victims of notario fraud repair their cases and hold those responsible accountable. He practices immigration law nationwide before all immigration courts. The firm serves clients in English and Spanish and arranges interpretation for speakers of any other language.
Corey is a member of AILA, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Coffee County Drug Court team. He is licensed in Tennessee, the Eastern District of Tennessee, the Western District of Texas, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Outside the office, he is a lifelong student of history, especially the classics, and lives in Manchester with his family and three cats.
