Jake Neal Farbman

Jake Farbman is an Associate Attorney at Ferrara & Pisarek PLLC, where he represents artists, songwriters, producers, entrepreneurs, and entertainment companies in a wide range of entertainment, intellectual property, and business matters.

Before becoming an attorney, Jake spent years in the music industry as a touring musician and songwriter. In 2014, he co-founded the rock band The Catching, serving as its lead guitarist and songwriter. During the band’s career, he performed more than 500 shows across 43 states, shared stages and events with artists including Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Plain White T’s, and 311, and recorded in premier studios throughout the country. His firsthand experience gives him a practical understanding of the legal and business issues facing today’s creators.

Jake earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where he focused on entertainment law, intellectual property, and antitrust. While in law school, he authored a published law review article examining competition in the live entertainment industry and concert ticket affordability. Before joining Ferrara & Pisarek, Jake practiced at a national mid-sized litigation firm, served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Laura Maria Gonzalez-Marques, and as an entertainment law extern with the Law Office of Allen Jacobi and Pyramid Records.

Jake is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Indiana.

Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, playing guitar, going to concerts, and pursuing his longtime interest in aviation.
