Biography

I was raised in South Florida where I grew up fishing, boating, rooting for the Dolphins, and spending entirely too much time in the sun. After finishing high school in Fort Lauderdale, I attended Florida State University, home of the Seminoles. After graduating, I went to the Florida State University College of Law where I obtained my Juris Doctorate in 1989.

I moved back to South Florida where I began practicing law. I was fortunate enough to have a successful run with my own firm for almost twenty years. During this time, I was instrumental in growing the firm from a two attorney shop into an 11 attorney/ 50 support staff firm with two offices. I devoted my practice to fighting for the rights of the injured and aggrieved, dedicating 100% of my efforts to the rights of the individual, be it personal injury, social security disability or insurance/ contract disputes. I tried over 100 cases to completion in Florida and was successful in obtaining great results- largely by virtue of outworking the other guy. I developed many of the traits that serve me well today- organization, hard work, and a single- minded desire to do the best job possible for my clients.

Far more important though, it was there I met my beautiful wife Rosy. After being blessed with two great little girls, Jennifer and Jessica, we took a look at the proverbial landscape and determined West Palm Beach was not the place to raise kids. Our travels ultimately brought us to Middle Tennessee. I have found this to be the perfect place for us- peaceful, friendly and a heavy emphasis on education. Additionally, we love the people. Tennessee deserves its reputation as the "friendliest place in the country".

Since moving to Tennessee, I have learned to love country music and generally spent a lot of quality time raising my kids. I still fish, boat, and spend entirely too much time in the sun. Now, however, I root for the Titans! After all these years, I consider myself a lnatice.

Professionally, it was a priority to find a firm committed to providing the best representation available. I firmly believe the client deserves nothing less. Over the course of my career, I have earned certain accolades that reflect this dedication. Excellent Attorney

A Refreshing Experience, World-Class Lawyer

David did an amazing job representing me in my auto accident. Throughout the entire process he took his time to explain how the process would work and that I had all my questions answered. From beginning to end he was very reachable and understanding of my concerns. He gave realistic timeline and set... appropriate expectations. When COVID hit, he give his best guess (which turned out to be right) on how timelines would be adjusted. Although I hope to never go through this experience again, I feel 1,000,000x better knowing David would represent me again. I wouldn't change a thing. He has a great, professional team too. A World-Class Lawyer.

Very helpful and professional

Mr. Weissman has been very Informative, very pleasant and very patient. I am an attorney and sometimes it can be hard for attorneys to deal with attorneys but Mr. Weissman has given me excellent advice and is still helping me work through my legal concerns. I have had a couple of other attorneys befo...re in this practice area but I was not happy with their service. I highly recommend Mr. Weissman.

Absolute Experience, Flawless Communication

I could not be more pleased w/ Mr. Weissman's service. I was in motorcycle accident, in the fall of 2018 and knew I needed representation. I interviewed 3 different lawyers, David being the 3rd and final. When comes to doctors, lawyers, contractors etc. I always interview. I look for communication... style and knowledge of my situation. David took the time to educate me of my rights, what I can expect from him, what I can expect as possible outcomes and the approach he intended to take. He and staff were respectful and engaging.
