Yes, petitions can be denied, especially if job does not meet stringent H1-B criteria. It may take several months for answer so try to be patient.

Yes, you need to work for new company immediately. It is not wise to repeatedly jump employers on H-1B. Once is okay if they seek approval but...

One cannot get a job through a B1B2 visa as it is just for visiting. If you just graduated from university, you can work for one year under OPT...
