Bankruptcy and Debt 30%

Bankruptcy is practiced in Federal Court. The purpose of this type of law is to protect consumers by giving them a way to get out of debt that they could never repay on their own.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy 30%

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is also known as "reorganization." It allows a filer to propose a repayment plan to the Court. These plans are successful and stopping creditors from foreclosing on homes and repossessing vehicles. The plan lasts 3-5 years. Most of my clients are very pleased with their payment plans.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy 30%

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is also known as a "FRESH START." These cases normally last 4-6 months and will completely eliminate many types of debt.

Unfortunately Bankruptcy and Divorce often go hand-in-hand. I have filed several uncontested divorces for my Bankruptcy clients. Bankruptcy allows me to develop a trusting relationship with my clients, who then call me for other legal needs.

Former Client's Review

I do not recommend this lawyer for various reasons. I hired her to handle my bankruptcy and Chapter 13 case in 2008. Because of differences in opinion and disagreements, she filed a motion to withdraw from my case-leaving me with no representation. I contacted other bankruptcy lawyers for substitut...e counsel, but they just told me they couldn't take over cases started by another lawyer. This prompted me to handle the case pro se and on my own. I managed to convert a Chapter 13 to a Chapter 7 on my own, but I didn't even know what I was doing. I reached out to Ms. Trammell-Love and let her know this to see if she could help me, but she just ignored me. After converting to a Chapter 7, SunTrust Bank, one of my creditors, filed an adversary proceeding against me. Because of my mental illness, I didn't go contest it, and an order was granted to list the debt as non-dischargeable. Thus, the debt survived the bankruptcy, and attorney for creditor has been harassing me every since 2008 for collections on this debt. I'm indigent, disabled, and can't afford to make payments on this debt. It should have been discharged along with my other debts, but the attorney argued I committed fraud. If Ms. Trammell-Love was still attorney-on-record, I had a greater chance of discharging all of my debts. She is to blame for all of the misery and mental anguish I have experienced over the years dealing with that creditor. I just want other potential clients to keep in mind how impatient she is in dealing with disagreeable, mentally-ill clients. She probably had an overload of cases, and it was just easier for her to drop my case than to continue as my counsel. Now I suffer the repercussions, and I want everyone to know what I have been through and still deal with. I have recently filed an ex-parte motion with the court to reopen my bankruptcy case pro se. I have to self-represent again in hopes of getting my attorney's fees back from her and setting aside the default motion filed against me by SunTrust's attorney.

Realizing that you need to file for Bankruptcy can be a very trying and emotional time. I am always sympathetic to how hard it can be, but please remember that your attorney's job is to hold your hand through the process and help you accomplish your goals within the bounds of the law. Your attorney sometimes has to make you face harsh realities that aren't pleasant. In Bankruptcy those realities could include the fact that you simply can afford the things you'd really like to keep. We are all different--some people take bad news in stride and can easily bounce back and, unfortunately, others look for someone to blame. I am sympathetic to all types of people and situations because I truly want to help, but ,very rarely, I meet someone who refuses to accept the reality of how the law applies to them. Their nonacceptance is hard for me--but in the end I understand that the situation that necessitated that client's need to file Bankruptcy is much worse. For ethical reasons there's a lot of information regarding this review that I won't share, but I am hurt that this former client is still struggling financially. I did everything within my power and within the limits of the Law to meet her needs. I wish her the best and truly hope that she bounces back.

Attorney Trammell helped me rebuild my life!

After my divorce in 2007, I found myself financially struggling. I had debts that I acquired from my marriage that were haunting me. When I went to Adrienne she went over the details of filing a Chapter 7 and 13. She made the process very easy and affordable considered how much debt I was in. She fo...llowed me throughout the filing process and of course was there with answering questions after the process. I am remarried and have rebuilt my life since my chapter 7. Thanks!
