Zachary Scott Gainous

Zach Scott Gainous is a Nashville-based attorney who helps and protects creative and talented people and businesses by providing legal expertise, advice, and representation for creators, public figures, entrepreneurs, professionals, executives, and companies, including those in music, entertainment, sports, media, technology, and many other industries.  Mr. Gainous is the personal, business, and general counsel for many creative and talented people and companies in music, entertainment, film & television, sports, media, technology, and many other industries.  Mr. Gainous is a "go-to" attorney and regularly advises and represents songwriters, music artists, bands, record producers, actors and actresses, entertainers, filmmakers, movie & TV directors and producers, authors, small and independent record labels and music publishers, and more.

Mr. Gainous has tremendous knowledge and experience in the music business.  Mr. Gainous earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Business from Middle Tennessee State University, one of the top entertainment or music industry colleges and educational programs in the world.  While attending MTSU, Mr. Gainous worked as a studio musician and record producer.  After completing his undergraduate studies, Zach also spent time at Universal Music Group Nashville where he assisted with helping to market the careers and music of artists like Billy Currington, Sugarland, George Strait, David Nail, and many others.  While in law school, Mr. Gainous worked for music, entertainment, and sports business management, royalty, and financial auditing firm Blue Sky Group, where he assisted with contract interpretation and music royalty audits and reconciliation for music artists, songwriters, and record producers.

This diverse and extensive experience taught Mr. Gainous the importance and benefits of working to avoid issues or disputes before they occur, and exposed him to the unfortunate poor legal, career, and business advice and representation many music, entertainment, media, and sports clients are all too often receiving.  Whether it's protecting a client's intellectual property, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, protecting a client's business, personal, or financial interests, real estate, property or other assets, or protecting a client's career, privacy, reputation, or family, Mr. Gainous strives to provide the best legal expertise, advice, and representation and be a long-term trusted advisor for his clients.

When Mr. Gainous is not working to protect his clients and provide the best legal advice and representation for them, he enjoys watching or attending concerts or live music events, Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators games, Florida State football games, or spending time with his wife and dog.
