Jonathan Martin Wolf

Jonathan M. Wolf is a third-generation attorney, based in Nashville, Tennessee, who advises clients on a wide range of litigation and transactional matters related to the media & entertainment industries as well as general business and domestic matters. His work includes issues related to the creation, acquisition, licensing, and infringement of intellectual property rights such as copyright, trademark, publicity, social media, music publishing, royalty disputes, internet defamation, internet privacy, commercial litigation, and crisis management. Jonathan also has experience assisting clients with matters related to blockchain & digital assets, creditors rights, and domestic relations issues such as divorce and post-divorce matters. His clients have included celebrities in music, film, television, and new media, music publishers, songwriters (and their heirs), entrepreneurs, investors, record labels, and other companies large and small.

Jonathan was selected to the Mid-South Super Lawyers 2020 & 2021 Rising Stars lists in the area of Intellectual Property Law. He was also recently recognized in 2023 Edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ in the areas of Entertainment & Sports Law and Intellectual Property Litigation. Prior to graduating law school, Jonathan spent a decade working with high profile artists in the music industry in the areas of music publishing, concert touring, and artist management. He earned his law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphrey School of Law where he was a Herbert Herff Presidential Law Scholar and won the CALI Award for Trademark & Unfair Competition Law. He is a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business where he got his start in the music industry by booking acts like Three 6 Mafia, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, and Snoop Dogg to play on campus. Before starting his own firm, Jonathan was a lawyer in the Nashville office of Stites & Harbison, PLLC, one of the oldest law practices in the United States, where he was a member of both the intellectual property & domestic relations service groups.
