My client was a self insured local business owner who went to the hospital for a routine test. Beforehand, he had the cost of the test quoted to him and advised the hospital he would be paying the full ... amount. A few days after the test, he received a bill for three times the amount agreed upon. He tried to rectify the situation, but the hospital sued him for the full amount. I was able to prove to the Judge that my client had an agreed upon quote for the test and that the hospital was billing at a 300% inflation of the agreed upon amount. The case against my client was dismissed.

My client was in a bad accident and suffered chronic pain for which they were prescribed opioid pain relievers. Due to the continuing pain and stress in their personal life, they began to take too much ... of the medication and became dependent and abused the drug. This came to the attention of their employer and the Board of Nursing. My client was about to lose their job and license. I worked with the employer and nursing board, and my client, to ensure they received treatment and abided by a plan established to help them retain their license. The result of much negotiation on my part, and hard work on my client's part as well, resulted in my client being able to keep the nursing license they worked so hard for and stay employed in the job they love as well as receiving treatment for their dependence on the medication.

The trustee in the estate refused to cooperate with the actions needed to close the estate. After intense negotiations with the trustee and their attorney, I was able to compel the trustee to complete the actions needed in order to distribute the assets and money in the estate and to close it.
