Unfortunately because you served time in jail you can not be eligible for diversion.

Don't post anymore and hire an attorney immediately. They can not deny you an attorney in court if you have retained one.

Normally they have a bond but he just may not be able to make it. I would talk to his attorney or hire him one to expedite his case.

It sounds like they did not have any way to confirm it was your car or believed you were not in a good state to drive the car.

Best chance is if you have a criminal defense attorney that has your back and knows what to say to the DA to prevent that.
