John Adam Porter

I joined the White & Rhodes in 2011 just after graduating from law school. Since then, I've had the opportunity to litigate in a multitude of different Courts and counties throughout Middle and Eastern Tennessee. While the hours and miles are certainly taxing, I love learning just how unique each venue can be, and how those little nuances can impact a lawsuit.

When not working, the majority of my entertainment comes from supporting Vanderbilt Athletics with my wife, Beth (the only person I've ever met who actually loves the Commodores more than I do), and son, Mayes. Highlights include being featured on a national tailgating show, seeing the first Bowl win since the Reagan administration, having the youngest fan of the game selection, and getting to witness the Baseball National Championship in Omaha. However to be fair, lowlights include multiple 3-9 football seasons, frequent NCAA tournament disappointments, having a football stadium smaller than many Texas high schools. So it really all balances out in the end. When I'm not watching the Commodores, I enjoy spending time with the Mayes man, kickball, or simply relaxing on the back porch.
