I have been practicing Immigraton law exclusively for 44 years.  I have  over a 150 unsolicited Thank-you letters from satisfed clients in a book in my office. My hobbies are golf, and playing with my grandaughters.  

MISSION STATEMENT

FORD AND ASSOCIATES

I.

My paralegals and I recognize that there is a larger purpose to what we do, and that we stand in service of others.  Immigration law is more than profession; it is a calling.  Other lawyers are less fortunate, in that they do not always see the direct benefit of the work they do.  For example, the adversarial nature of litigation or divorce law results in a clear winner and loser.  On the other hand, immigration law can be a win-win situation for all parties involved, be it the employer sponsor, client beneficiary, respondent in a removal proceeding, and even this country.  The purpose of immigration law is to help the United States.  Immigrants contribute greatly to the American work force and the economy.  We strive to remember the above and treat our clients with dignity.

Our Attitude

We attempt to put ourselves in our client’s shoes.  We recognize the fears and unknowns in immigration with which our client’s must contend.  No matter how fearsome the challenge may be to us, we recognize that the challenge to our clients is much greater.  We know without a doubt that our clients are counting on us.  We strive to have the knowledge, skills and experience to help our clients achieve their goals.

We avoid the temptation to think that the government is necessarily a formidable adversary.  We recognize that the government is plagued by inefficiency.  It is easier to beat a bureaucracy than a motivated opponent.  We have the special privilege to take on the government and force it to be reasonable.  Few citizens have that direct opportunity on a regular basis, but immigration lawyers do.  I chose to practice immigration law because I wanted to help those less fortunate than myself and in the words of the inscription at the Statue of Liberty; I wish to help the poor, hungry, yearning to breathe free and the U. S. citizens who wish to better this country by hiring qualified persons of any race or creed and to assist friends and relatives in bringing friends and relatives to this country who will be assets to this country.
