Raised in Montgomery, Garrett graduated from Trinity Presbyterian High School before attending the University of Alabama and Samford University on academic scholarships, majoring in Philosophy. He earned his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law, also on academic scholarship, where he competed on the Arbitration and National Trial teams.
Before entering practice, Garrett interned at the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and the Alabama Supreme Court, clerked for Montgomery Circuit Court Judge Roman Shaul, and worked at the Jefferson County Public Defender's Office. After passing the Alabama Bar, he clerked for Judge Elisabeth French, Presiding Judge of Jefferson County. He joined Greene & Phillips in 2021 and focuses his practice on helping people injured by the negligence of others.
