Attorney Charles (Chase) J. Barber was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. He graduated in 2008 from St. Paul’s Episcopal School, where he was just recently inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. After high school, Chase chose to further his education at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, where he was recruited to play baseball. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science Education in 2012, and was a member of Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies. Upon graduation, Chase taught history at George County High School and Middle School in Lucedale, Mississippi. While he enjoyed teaching, he knew the practice of law was his true calling. Chase then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2016. While in law school, he was a Senior Editor for the Faulkner Law Review, a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, an active member of Phi Alpha Delta legal society, a Public Interest Fellowship recipient, and Secretary of the Federalist Society.”
Professional Career
Throughout law school, Chase interned with the Alabama Department of Revenue, as well as served as law clerk to Judge William Sawyer, Chief Judge of Bankruptcy for the Middle District of Alabama. After completing his clerkship, he was invited to join Beasley Allen Law Firm, one of the top plaintiffs firms in the United States, as an intern. Upon passing the bar, Chase decided to open his own firm in downtown Mobile and began practicing as both a civil and criminal defense attorney. He joined Greene & Phillips in 2018 with strong desire to help injured victims right here in his hometown of Mobile. In 2024, Chase was invited to become a partner of the film.
Family and Community
Chase and his wife, Sarah, live in Mobile along with their three kids. They attend St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
