An Alabama native, Bryan Comer and his family have close ties to the local community. In his role as a Partner at Tobias, McCormick & Comer, he helps lead the firm’s practice with more than a decade of litigation experience focused on wrongful death, trucking accidents, products liability, class actions, medical negligence, and personal injury.
Bryan earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law. While in Tuscaloosa as an undergrad, Bryan was a member of JASONS and Phi Beta Kappa, graduating magna cum laude. In law school, he was awarded the George Peach Taylor Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and served as an Associate Justice on the Honor Court.
Rated “AV” by his peers on Martindale-Hubbell, Bryan has been recognized as earning the highest rating of legal skills and ethics. A licensed attorney in Alabama and Florida, Bryan is admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Alabama as well as the Northern District of Florida. Bryan is currently a member of the Alabama Board of Bar Commissioners, is the President of The Mobile Bar Foundation, is a member of the Mobile Bar Association Executive Committee, a member of the Paul W. Brock Chapter of the American Inns of Court, is on the Board of Directors for the Drug Education Council and is a member of the “Tri the Gulf” Triathlon Committee.
At Tobias, McCormick & Comer, Bryan has achieved substantial results for his clients and has extensive trial experience, recently serving as co-lead counsel in a complex products liability case resulting in a $3.4 million verdict. Bryan has served as lead counsel in a trucking case that settled for $867,500, served as co-counsel on a case for a local business owner that resulted in $108 million jury verdict, co-counsel for the Bondholder Plaintiffs in the HealthSouth Securities Fraud Litigation, co-lead counsel for a local business that resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $800,000, co-lead counsel against a drunk driver that resulted in a $450,000 jury verdict, as well as lead counsel in multiple personal injury cases and trials.
