OUTCOME: Classes to earn dismissal of all felony charges, mid-trial

Client was facing 4 felony counts that included sexual assault and false imprisonment. Client was insistent on innocence and had witnesses that were present and swore to Client's version of events. C ... lient refused plea offers. Mid trial the prosecutor realized his case was weakening and offered the client an opportunity to do classes to earn a dismissal. Rather than leave fate to a jury that might not like the idea of the accusations, the client accepted.

OUTCOME: No state prison time

Client had 3 prior DUI's and picked up a BUI which was being charged as a 4th, thus, a felony. All within not only under 10 years, but 5 so there were various probation violations, driving on a suspen ... ded license charges, etc... Client was facing state prison and the D.A. was not feeling sympathetic to a plea. Had great facts to ultimately hang jury at trial and work out a plea that included dismissal of BUI and admission only to probation violations and no state prison time.
