OUTCOME: Court entered 2 yr DVPO. Father ordered to: 1) have supervised visits only; 2) complete siginficant substance abuse and DV treatment; 3) take multiple, random monthly drug tests; and 4) pay $40,000 in attorney's fees for excessive intransigence.

I represented the mother in a four day dissolution trial of a short term marriage with 2 young children. Mother alleged father committed domestic violence (DV) which father vehemently denied. Mother sought legal fees based on the father's extensive intransigence throughout the case.

Relocation Trial

OUTCOME: Relocation with children was denied. My client became the primary parent.

I represented the non-relocating parent in a case where the primary parent was seeking to relocate about 15 miles across the city. I successfully defended a temporary relocation request in Family Law ... court. The trial, three months later, lasted two days. I successfully defended against the children relocating with the primary parent. The Court entered the proposed orders I submitted. My client became the primary parent as the moving party chose to relocate without the children. The parent that relocated brought a motion seeking to vacate the trial orders about three months post trial, which I successfully defended against.
