When my friend rightfully questioned paying additional money without seeing any real progress or protection for his initial $26,000, the attorney abruptly withdrew from the case. Now he is left in a devastating position: caught in a family disagreement, watching the business he helped build get dismantled, and forced to find new counsel after already paying $26,000 to people he trusted to handle it. I understand legal representation is expensive, but for $26,000 a client deserves urgent action, active advocacy, and clear results—not total abandonment the moment they question a bill. Advice to prospective clients: Ask rigorous questions up front. Demand a clear action plan, detailed fee structures, and explicit terms on what happens if the attorney decides to walk away mid-case. For $26,000 a client should never be left wondering what their money actually bought. I strongly advise looking elsewhere for counsel.
