No. You were an employee. The only possible remedy is workers compensation. It would be a repetitive motion injury.

It sounds to me as if it is being auctioned to split between the heirs. I would talk to an attorney. If no will, heirs divide.

They can require it, although $100,000 is very high for an apartment. Most do not require it. I would live somewhere else.
