I would be shocked if you were to go to jail. Sounds like a very weak case. You do need an attorney though.

They are class c felonies, but since he has other convictions, they could be enhanced. The counties usually know about other felonies in Alabama....

Every county is different. It usually is done within three weeks of their arrest in a felony. Some counties a lot faster.
