Eventually, after leaving a voicemail emphasizing the urgency of my situation, Mr. Auffenorde replied by email. The message contained instructions for filing my case in federal court—guidance that required immediate action that same day. Because this critical information was sent only by email and not communicated by phone, I did not see it in time and missed the filing deadline. Had Mr. Auffenorde taken the professional step of calling to provide those instructions, I would have been able to file on time. While I appreciated receiving the information, the lack of timely communication and failure to return calls or provide urgent guidance by phone created unnecessary stress and ultimately harmed my case. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Mr. Auffenorde. His delayed responses and lack of professional courtesy reflected poorly on his reliability as legal counsel.
