I was hired to help the client obtain probation after he pleaded into a felony assault charge. The client had a prior juvenile adjudication for rape. The adjudication was from 1951. The DA argued ... that the client was not probation eligible. The sentencing hearing was continued several times as we filed several motions. After oral argument, the court agreed with defense counsel's arguments. It found the client probation eligible.
