I've had this lawyer twice...court appointed. The 1st time was for possession & I got outta jail pretty fast because it was my 1st offense and had never had to use her before. The 2nd time was for Failure to Abide because there was no possible way I could do everything I was ordered to do from the po...ssession charge... Color Code daily, probation monthly, drug education classes for a month, and AA or NA meetings 12 times a month. Everything had to be paid for and my fines and I had no transportation and no help really. 2nd time for FTA I sat 5 months in jail with absolutely no contact from my lawyer,Ruby despite my efforts. My court date was rescheduled twice because she went to court for me and each time I found this information out from the CO's or I wouldn't have known anything at all . I had a family member to call and go to her office many times but she never answered or responded back and my family member even said that she would answer and act like she was her secretary to take the message to avoid any questions about my case. She's very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. She moved her office location also without a word as to where her new location would be. She didn't respond to letters by mail either. If for whatever reason I'm ever appointed her again my choice will be to request another lawyer, even if that means I'm to have to sit in jail longer and prolong my case. Hope this helps...Try at your own risk but I wouldn't recommend it. Also while in jail their were two others that had her and both said they had to fire her. Thank You
