Victory for client seeking insurance proceeds. Client was listed beneficiary of his ex-spouses insurance. Ex-spouse passed away and relatives claimed the insurance proceeds. The divorce agreement di ... vested all interest of client but failed to specifically list the insurance policy. Court ruled that the language in the divorce agreement was insufficiently specific to divest client of his right as beneficiary.

Alabama Court of Civil Appeals - Divorce / Child Support. Circuit Court Judge entered an order drastically reducing child support. Court claim to jurisdiction based upon Uniform Interstate Family Supp ... ort Act. We argued that the trial court did not have jurisdiction because the former husband had not applied with the statute as required to enforce or modify an out-of-state child support order.
