Jeffrey Scott Brown

Jeff provides extensive expertise to small and large business clients regarding daily operations and tax-saving strategies. His corporate practice also includes business formation and financing issues, contract review and assistance, mergers and acquisitions and employment law matters.

He also skillfully applies his tax knowledge to his estate planning practice area. In addition to drafting documents necessary to implement his client’s estate plans, including wills and trusts, Jeff counsels regarding charitable giving and special needs planning. Similarly, Jeff provides valuable counsel to personal representatives and trustees during the estate administration process.

Jeff has extensive experience in the coordination of real estate transactions, from the simple preparation of a deed or mortgage to the complexity of a large-scale commercial real estate closing. Jeff is an agent for First American Title Insurance Company and enjoys a good working relationship with area real estate agents and financial institutions.

Jeff resides with his wife (Melissa) in Decatur and they have two children. They are members of Central United Methodist Church.
