Michael Todd Wheeles is a partner at Morris Haynes Attorneys at Law. Mr. Wheeles served as an Alabama State Trooper, where he became proficient in investigating traffic accidents. Then, in 1996, Mr. Wheeles joined the Alabama Bureau of Investigations, where he served as a hostage negotiator, a polygraph examiner, and a case agent in the major crimes division. He was appointed to act as legal counsel to the Alabama Board of Polygraph Examiners by Governor Bob Riley. Mr. Wheeles has been recognized by many prestigious legal organizations for his client-centered approach to cases and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements including a $239 million in a firearm defect class action settlement, a confidential 7 million dollar settlement in Fulton County, a $1.25 million verdict in an unintentional gun discharge case, and a $4.5 million verdict from a Legionnaires disease case.
